It is with much sadness that I report that my favorite mural, the one I posted about in June, has been painted over.

What was once a delightful mix of misshapen dogs, brightly colored flowers, and friendly clouds is now just a plain old gray wall. I'm glad I took a few pictures of it when I had the chance. Trips to Shields Market will never be the same.

A few months ago my friend Alissa of Mew Paper Arts was interviewed for a segment on the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric. Although the piece didn't make it to the airwaves, it can finally be seen on the CBS website.
